With the start of the new month, the Media Club has geared up with various ideas. One of these ideas involves crafting a new thematic notice board every week. For the first week, the chosen theme was “CINEVERSE” – an exploratory and speculative topic delving into the relevance of theaters in the digital age. This theme was proposed by the team responsible for curating the content for the first week's board: Dixita Paul, Tobbard Passah Lyngdoh, Subah Ratnah Chakma, and Chungkham Jamson Singh (MCVP 3rd semester). The catalyst behind this idea was the recent surge of interest in visiting theaters to watch movies
following the releases of "Barbie" and "Oppenheimer." These movies served as the inspiration for the visuals on the board. While staying true to the core essence of theater's relevance in the era of digitization, the group decided to focus on portraying this through the board's content and visuals. Highlighting the significance of theaters and shedding light on the subtle intricacies of filmmaking became essential – aspects that often go unnoticed despite people frequently consuming movies and films. In terms of design, a digital mockup for the project was created using InDesign. This mockup was then translated onto chart paper through prints and cutouts. The color palette and overall aesthetic were intentionally crafted with the specific goal of emphasizing the importance of "Barbenheimer" influence in the board's creation and of course to grab people's attention to trick them into contemplating how theaters are such an important part of our lives.
